Day 2 of the comp at West Witts. Much more wind today as forecast, but bolt onshore, which made trying to jump/waveride/do anything very difficult - even the pros were having trouble with their attempts to impress. Consequently the tricky conditions meant my heats didn't go so well. Slightly underpowered in the first on the 5.2/waveboard combo but thought I did ok as I pulled off the requisite 2 jumps and 1 waveride whilst my fellow competitors were not planing consistently. However only 1 sailor out of 4 was to go through and alas it wasn't me. So into the repechage heat for which I took out the Freewave with my underpowered heat 1 experience in mind but now I was on the very well side of powered up and felt encumbered by the extra board size under my feet (well that's my excuse anyway) - so did basically feck all of interest to the judges. :(

Still, all good fun and there's no doubt competition pushes your sailing and really motivates you to improve. I'll definitely be entering one again when the opportunity next arises.
